Style: dark, experimentally lyrical free verse and prose with rich and vivid imagery.

“Growing up in an unusual household, does not mean that I should be unusual too. Perhaps I would like to be. Perhaps I am. Perhaps I am so normal that I am boring. Perhaps I am so unusual that I have learned how not to be. Perhaps the experiences in my life have moulded me into a peculiar-coloured ball of wool. A ball of wool that doesn't get smaller as it unwinds, but grows instead. It grows in the direction of passion and creativity. I would rather use my experiences to grow than let them unwind me until there is nothing left.” Jessica Bell
